2008 Compensation Survey

1. Pastor, please make this a priority!!!
2. Please encourage all paid staff members to complete the survey or have the church treasurer complete the survey for each paid staff member. This insures consistency.
3. The accuracy of information is important. Suggestion: before you logon to the Web site, write out how the church compensates you; for example: separate your “salary and housing” from your “benefits” (insurance, retirement, etc.) and “reimbursement” items (business travel, convention/conference, library, continuing education and/or hospitality expenses). Think of your church compensation as fitting into as many as three areas: (1) “salary” (and housing), then (2) “benefits” and finally, (3) “reimbursements.”
4. Begin by reading the survey all the way through.
5. Please take your time to report actual amounts. If you don’t know something, you might try asking your church treasurer. Confidentiality is maintained for individuals and churches.
6. The survey should be completed by April 15. Results will be available in June 2008.
