Campers On Mission

Campers on Mission (COM) is a national fellowship of Christian Campers working in cooperation with the Adult Volunteer Mobilization Unit of the North American Mission Board and with the Southern Baptist Convention. COM includes Christians of all denominations who want to share their faith and the love of Jesus Christ while camping or participating in missions activities. Christians today have unprecedented opportunities to witness beyond the walls of their churches.

Tell As You Travel

COM membership is open to Christians of all denominations. There is no national membership fee. The only requirement is a willingness to join other Christian campers in fellowship and mission endeavors while sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. If you enjoy ministering with a group, consider joining Campers on Mission.

Campers on Mission logo EMBLEM - was designed to provide opportunities to witness about faith in Jesus Christ.

THE FISH - an early Christian symbol, denotes personal acceptance of Jesus as Savior.

THE COMPASS STAR - symbolizes the expanse of God’s creation and reminds members that, wherever they roam, God is present as they seek Him in recreation.

THE CIRCLE - represents God’s eternal existence and bountiful love for all people.

If you enjoy ministering with a group, consider joining Campers on Mission. COM holds a national rally each year, usually in June, for fellowship, training, and planning specific missions projects. In addition, two regional rallies are also held - one each in the eastern half and in the western half of the country. Campers worship together, swap reports of God at work, and attend a variety of seminars to better equip them for service. Members learn everything from effective witnessing to clowning techniques. For example, a recent rally offered sessions on balloon sculptures, campground worship, crafts, fairs and festivals, and marketplace evangelism. Since the birth of the national Campers on Mission, 25 state-level chapters have developed. These chapters also offer rallies throughout the year.
