First Baptist Lake sits in the heart of small town Lake, MS right off of Interstate 20 between Jackson and Meridian. We are a family centered church, and our building is located across from the local school. We are seeking a Family Discipleship Pastor to help disciple and equip the church, so we can continue to have a kingdom impact for years to come. We have two services on Sunday morning, prayer meeting on Sunday evening, and we have a time of training on Wednesday nights. We are involved with church planting, church revitalization, and we partner with many local and foreign ministries.
FULL TIME FAMILY DISCIPLESHIP PASTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement a family discipleship strategy for all ages.
Work with the pastor to oversee and guide different ministry areas: (Students, Children, Missions, Discipleship)
Develop consistent training avenues for teachers within the church.
Be a primary teacher for various areas of ministry.
Oversee a team in planning camps, retreats, and mission opportunities.
Be active in community outreach within the schools, and ministries of the church.
Assist the pastor in preaching and fill the pulpit when needed.
Assist the pastor in shepherding the congregation, which includes counseling and checking on others.
