Specific Responsibilities
1. Coordinate the planning of weekly activities for students that will encourage faith and
foster relationships.
2. Plan activities that are outside of the normal gatherings of the church. This can
include summer camps, events, mission trips, etc.
3. Work with the Student Committee in determining ministry goals, organization,
leadership, facilities, budget, community involvement, and administrative process.
4. Work with program leaders, teachers, and appropriate staff members to develop a
ministry calendar and resolve procedural and scheduling problems that could arise.
5. Provide ministry oversight and assistance to the volunteers and/or interns serving in
youth ministry.
6. Invest time with students and their families to build relationships and encourage their
walk with Christ.
7. Enhance skills in leading, ministering, and communicating through personal
opportunities of reading, attending high quality conferences, and formal education.
8. 9. Perform pastoral duties such as hospital visitation and counseling.
Prepare an annual budget proposal that will steward appropriate ministry funds.
10. Take part in weekly staff meetings.
