First Baptist Church is a 170-year-old Southern Baptist church located in the town of West Point, MS. We exist to recognize and honor God as the giver and keeper of life by surrendering to Him; to tell the good news of Christ at every opportunity and to share with others what Christ has done for us; to teach people the Bible and to guide them toward a commitment to Jesus; and to care for each other and all people in Jesus’ name by meeting needs. We are prayerfully seeking God as we search for our next senior pastor to lead our church family and a staff of five people, in addition to the staff of our Early Childhood Ministry. We have approximately 450 active members comprised of multiple generations of believers who are driven by grace to God’s purpose, desiring to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ as we engage in true and spiritual worship, fellowship and evangelism.
