Tangipahoa Baptist Church was first organized in 1868 on four acres located on the Tangipahoa River in Summit, MS. The history of our church is rich, but we have continued to grow and make the changes needed for that growth over the years. In the last two years our congregation has increased in number to where we average close to 200 on Sunday mornings. We are a multi-generational church with ministries and activities directed to reach all ages for Christ and lead them to grow as disciples of Christ. We have plans to expand our sanctuary in the next year and as we continue to grow we see the need for a devoted student minister to lead and grow our youth group that has grown from two to eighteen in just the last six months. No seminary degree is required but background in student ministry is preferred. We believe God will equip the called. We are open to the possibility of a housing allowance and salary would be based on several factors.
