The Leadership Department develops leaders to strengthen churches targeting ministerial and lay leadership in the local church as well as Associational Mission Strategists.
AREAS OF MINISTRY:
- Train, resource, and assist deacons, church committees/teams, and bivocational pastors
- Evaluate ministry facilities
- Safety and security assessments
- Church constitution and by-laws
- Long-range planning and vision-casting
- Church staff guidance and training
- Mediate conflict situations
- Train pastor search committees and help find interims and supply pastors
- Oversee MBCB Ministry Job Board
- Host Annual Preaching Conferences at the three Mississippi Baptist Universities
- Partner with Associational Mission Strategists to meet the needs of churches and ministers
