Disaster Relief Area 1 Training - Emmanuel BC - Grenada

Disaster Relief includes 5 area trainings around the state:

• 2/10/24: Lee Conference Center / Pearl River Baptist Association
• 2/24/24: Neshoba Baptist Association
• 3/9/24: FBC Yazoo City
• 3/23/24: Mt. Zion BC – Columbus
• 4/6/24: Emanuel BC – Grenada

Topics for trainings include: Intro, Chainsaw, Cleanup/Recovery, Chaplaincy, and Feeding

Registration begins at 7:30 AM with classes beginning at 8:00 AM. Lunch is provided. The day will conclude at approximately 4:00 PM. Participants will complete the Introduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief course that is required of all MSBDR volunteers and one specialty course.

Specialty courses presented include 1) Basic Chainsaw, 2) Feeding, 3) Cleanup/Recovery (Flood Recovery, Tarping, & Shower/Laundry), and 4) Chaplaincy (first course in series). Cost is $25.00 for new and renewing volunteers and $15.00 for current volunteers seeking additional service are credentials.
