Mississippi Baptist All-State Youth Choir and Orchestra Audition - Baptist Building

The Mississippi Baptist All-State Youth Choir and Orchestra is comprised of students who have completed 9th-12th grades and are active participants in the worship ministries of Mississippi Baptist churches and have been recommended by their church leadership. These young people share their love for Christ and their giftings in music through ministry and mission projects throughout the state and across the country. Students participate in a three-day rehearsal camp and a six-day worship concert tour.

Audition interviews for the MBASYCO are held each Fall in several locations around Mississippi. Students in grades 9 through 12 who are active members of music ministries in Southern Baptist churches are eligible to audition. Both vocal and instrumental auditions are given at each location.

September 13 – First Baptist Church, Long Beach – 1:30pm-4:00pm
September 26 – First Baptist Church, West Point – 1:30pm-4:00pm
October 4 – Belden Baptist Church, Belden – 1:30pm-4:00pm
October 11 – North Oxford Baptist Church, Oxford – 1:00pm-3:30pm
October 18 – Longview Point Baptist Church, Hernando – 2:00pm-4:30pm
November 7 – Mississippi Baptist Building, Jackson – 1:00pm-4:00pm

TEACHER/MINISTER RECOMMENDATIONS
Students will need 2 Teacher Recommendations and 1 Pastor/Minister Recommendation. Recommendations will be collected via an online form; you will be asked to provide email addresses for these individuals in the Audition Registration Portal.
