2025 Prayer Guide

November 2
Computer Information Services – Debbie Thomas and Dale Bridges
Debbie and Dale are responsible for the computers, software, and network support systems for the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board. Remaining vigilant to cyber-attacks, compiling statistical data, and computer maintenance are just some of what Debbie and Dale do on a daily basis. Their service is rarely seen by most but their work is important to the ongoing ministry of those who work for the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board. Pray for Debbie, Dale, their ministry, and their families.
November 9
Financial Services, MBCB – Ashley Herring, Director; Gayla Thompson & Greg Kinsley Accountants
May we not grow weary of lending our time, energy, and efforts to the Lord through serving Him in our daily tasks in Financial Services. May we remember we are only lending to Him what He first gave to us.
Our MS Baptist members who receive benevolence needs. May we be sensitive to their needs, and may our conversations be gracious, kind, and loving.
Our MS Baptist member who we have retirement, budget, planning, etc. conversations with. May we have the right tools and words to equip them to plan in a way that will honor the Lord.

November 16
The Baptist Record – Tony Martin, Editor; Megan Young, Associate Editor; Lindsey Williams, Writing Specialist
Pray that our work would reflect the Author of salvation — always pointing to Jesus, always rejoicing with the truth, and always sharing the Good News.
Pray for our endurance and encouragement — that our creativity and motivation will be rooted in our love for the Lord and His work.
Pray for our interviews — that as we collect stories to tell, our conversations will encourage those whom God is using, and that writing their stories down will uplift everyone who reads them.
November 23
Thanksgiving
The Bible repeatedly encourages believers to give thanks in all circumstances. Expressing gratitude helps us maintain a proper perspective on our lives by recognizing God’s role in everything. Giving thanks to the Lord is important because it acknowledges God as the source of all good things, and reminds us to focus on the blessings in our lives rather than our difficulties; it also glorifies God and demonstrates our appreciation for His provision and love.

November 30
Week of Prayer for International Missions and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is important because it supports Southern Baptist missionaries in sharing the gospel with people around the world. 100% of the gifts go directly to support missionaries, including salaries, housing, medical care, transportation, and children’s education. The offering was started in 1888 after Lottie Moon, a Southern Baptist missionary to China, urged churches to send more workers to the country. Moon wrote letters home to American churches describing the need for more missionaries and greater financial support. The offering was officially named in 1918, six years after Moon’s death. Pray for Southern Baptist missionaries.
Pray that the blessing of the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering will always be utilized for the glory of God. Pray that the local church will understand and rejoice in the significance of the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for sustaining our missionaries on the field.
*Upcoming prayer guides will be released throughout the year.
