Dr. Jon Martin, Chief Strategy Officer, MBCB
Please pray for our Strategy Office at the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board. This office is tasked with coordinating the general work of missions and ministries represented by the various departments of the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board. The strategic purpose of the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board is to build relationships with Cooperating Churches and help Cooperating Churches fulfill their mission.
Please pray for Jon Martin as he leads this office for MBCB.
October 5
Mississippi State Fair Ministry
Every year at the State Fair, Mississippi Baptists from across the state converge on Jackson to share the Good News of Jesus with the attendees. Thousands of gospel conversations occur, and hundreds of individuals will profess faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Pray for those sharing the message of Christ, and pray for receptive hearts and a great harvest of souls to the glory of God.

Cooperative Program
The Cooperative Program is 100 years old this year. It remains the primary funding mechanism for churches to pool their resources to fund missions and ministries in the Southern Baptist Convention and State Conventions. Since its inception, churches of the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board have given over $1.2 billion through the Cooperative Program. Missionaries with IMB and NAMB rely on the generosity of the churches of the SBC giving through the Cooperative Program to remain on the field sharing the Good News of Jesus around the world.
Pray that the blessing of Cooperative Program dollars will always be utilized for the glory of God. Pray that the local church will understand and rejoice in the significance of the Cooperative Program for Kingdom growth.

MBCB Business Office; Mr. Barri Shirley - Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Shirley asked to pray in three specific ways for the Business Office of the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board:
We will be found faithful stewards and expend no resources outside of assisting local churches in sharing the Good News of Jesus and making disciples in Mississippi and around the world!
We will always worship the Provider, as opposed to worrying about the provisions.
We will never fail to humbly recognize that individuals give to the Lord through local churches as acts of worship and that it is our responsibility to continue that act of worship by properly managing and processing those donations.
October 26
Mississippi Baptist Convention
Messengers from across Mississippi will converge at Broadmoor Baptist Church to worship the LORD and conduct the business of the Mississippi Baptist Convention at the annual State Convention. The convention will be held October 28th-29th. Messengers will come from across the state to represent their local church. Pray the LORD will be honored, the messengers will be encouraged by the worship and the messages preached, and Mississippi Baptist will stay focused on the Great Commission and the Great Commandment!
