BRIEF SUMMATION: ASSOCIATE PASTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose
The Associate Pastor is called to be the “right hand” of the Senior Pastor in fulfilling the work of ministry at EBC. This involves three distinct areas: (1) pastoral care; (2) disciple/evangelism; and (3) administration. This position will require flexibility, however, as the position shall be to meet the demands of ministry at EBC now and in the future.
The Associate Pastor will need to be relational, having a heart for God’s people and sharing in community with them. He will also need to be organized, being able to facilitate the logistics of lay–led ministry. Finally, he needs to be called to the Gospel ministry, able to teach, preach, and do the work of a pastor.
