Mount Zion Baptist Church is a multi-generational, rural church located in Brookhaven, Mississippi. We are mission minded and desire to reach our community and beyond with the love of Christ. We are seeking a full-time associate pastor whose primary ministry focus will be with youth. This individual should have a heart for students, but not only students as he will work alongside other members of the pastoral leadership to care for the entire congregation. He will be expected to exhibit a genuine love for God’s Word and the ability to teach it well in both large and small group settings.
The ideal candidate would be someone with strong leadership qualities but who is also interested in being mentored. He should be committed to pursuing his spiritual growth and that of his family.
Preferably this person would have 5 or more years of ministry experience, some seminary training, and would also be open to serving in various areas of ministry. However, we recognize that these requirements are preferential and encourage anyone interested to submit a resume.
