Bi-vocational/Part-Time Worship/Music Minister

Providence Baptist Church has an opening for a bi-vocational/part-time music minister/choir director with some experience preferred. A knowledge of a variety of music styles is needed, including traditional hymn singing and congregational praise singing. Includes Sunday morning and Wednesday night services. Wednesday nights could include children’s practice for 15 to 20 minutes.

Develops, coordinates, participates in and leads the overall music activities at Providence Baptist Church for Sunday morning, Wednesday night and for all special
event services/activities.

Provide leadership to the Music Ministry Teams to fulfill the church’s vision, mission and strategy.

Lead, conduct, guide, minister and care for the church and most specifically those in the music ministry.

Qualifications:
A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a knowledge of Biblical Baptist beliefs.
A heart for worship and a passion for leading others in praise.
Experience leading congregational music and directing a choir.
Familiarity with both traditional hymns and contemporary worship music.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
