Buildings and Maintenance SupervisorFull-Time

The First Baptist Church of Vicksburg, Mississippi (FBCV) has a job opening for a Buildings and Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the care and maintenance of the buildings, grounds and equipment of the FBCV. Starting annual salary is expected to be in the $50,000 – $60,000 range, depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Vacation and sick leave are provided according to FBCV policies. QUALIFICATIONS
The Maintenance Supervisor must be a Christian and have a general knowledge of carpentry, plumbing and electricity. They must be able to direct others and be able to communicate and follow directions. The possession of a high school education or equivalency is desirable. They must be able to physically perform services as needed and possess a valid Mississippi driver’s license.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with regularly scheduled hours including Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. This position also requires involvement in non-routine church activities (weddings, funeral services, dinners, luncheons, etc.)
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The Maintenance Supervisor works under the direction of and is responsible to the Pastor in the performance of their duties. They will work cooperatively with all staff members.
