The Children’s Director at First Baptist Yazoo is responsible for FBC’s ministry to all children, birth through 6th grade. He/she would be under the supervision of the Pastor and would assist volunteers and leaders in all areas of FBC children’s ministry. The purpose of this position is to provide spiritual leadership to the children, parents and volunteers. The Children’s Director will attend and promote Sunday School, Wednesday Night Bible study, Vacation Bible School and Children’s camp. Responsibilities would be teaching a Wednesday Night Bible study, encourage volunteers, work with the Next Gen committee to plan events, work with the Stewardship committee to plan yearly budget and other responsibilities given by the pastor. The Children’s Director must follow all church policies, work well with staff and volunteers and pass a background check.
