Children’s Minister/Director – First Baptist Church Meridian
First Baptist Church Meridian is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Minister/Director to lead and grow our ministry to children Kindergarten through 6th grade and their families. This individual will serve under the supervision of the Senior Pastor and provide spiritual leadership, vision, and oversight for all areas of the Children’s Ministry while creating a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment.
Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and promoting Sunday School, Wednesday night activities, Vacation Bible School, Bible Drill, summer events, and other children’s activities. The Children’s Minister/Director will recruit, encourage, and support volunteers and ministry leaders while ensuring all workers comply with church safety and background check policies. This person will partner with parents to encourage spiritual growth and discipleship and work closely with church staff and leadership to support the mission of First Baptist Church Meridian. Responsibilities also include assisting with the Children’s Ministry budget and performing additional duties as needed within the church setting.
