Director of Preschool Ministry – First Baptist Church Starkville

Do you have a passion for helping young children and their families grow in Christ? First Baptist Church Starkville is seeking a Director of Preschool Ministry to lead the teaching, discipleship, evangelism, and care of children from birth through kindergarten.

This ministry leader will oversee all preschool programming, recruit and equip volunteers, disciple parents, coordinate outreach efforts, manage ministry budgets, and ensure a safe, engaging environment where children can learn about Jesus. Responsibilities include Sunday and Wednesday programming, Vacation Bible School, family events, parent equipping opportunities, and community outreach initiatives designed to connect unchurched families to the life of the church.

The ideal candidate will have a growing walk with Christ, a heart for preschool ministry, strong leadership and communication skills, and a desire to partner with families in the spiritual development of their children. Experience in preschool or children’s ministry is required, and an undergraduate degree in education or a related field is preferred. Seminary training is a plus.
