Ridglea Heights Baptist Church is located in between the Escatawpa and Big Point communities of Jackson County Mississippi. Historically, RHBC has been highly involved in our local association (JCBA), local community (Home of Grace, Mercy House, Youth for Christ), and missions (FCM of Honduras, Disaster Relief, etc.). Our strategy for carrying the Gospel to all the world has been to consistently model the “love God and love people” imperative of Jesus (Matthew 22). We are bold in the Word of God and reach out with open hands to our surrounding community and the world. Our annual attendance on Sunday mornings averaged 250 people in 2023. Our Sunday morning small group attendance averaged 130 during that same year.
In 2024, two of our long time staff members retired. Our former pastor served for 27 years. Our former children’s director served here for 10 years. She and her family still attend RHBC. Our current pastor, Dustin Stewart, served as our Student/Education/Associate Pastor for 18 years before accepting the call to pastor in August of 2024. We also have our Worship/Facilities Pastor, Mitch Osborne, who has served here for 23 years.
The Discipleship and Student Pastor position will take up many of the responsibilities Dustin once held. Currently, the student ministry is being led by our volunteers. We average roughly 20 students on Sunday mornings and 40 on Wednesday nights. The one who is called to this position will also oversee our discipleship efforts.
