About Harvest Church
Harvest Church is a growing congregation of about two hundred members located in Ridgeland, MS. We affirm the beliefs articulated in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. We exist to grow and multiply disciples of Jesus, and our family and student ministries are vital to that mission. We are seeking the Family Pastor who God will lead to shepherd and disciple our children and students.
Position Summary
The Family Pastor will lead and oversee the family and student ministries. He will disciple current children and students and work to reach new families in our community. This role requires relational ministry and ministry leadership. The ideal candidate will work to create a Christ-centered environment where young people can grow in their faith and learn to engage in God’s mission.
Qualifications
• A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing relationship with Him.
• Alignment with the beliefs and mission of Harvest Church.
• A passion for shepherding children, youth, and families, with a heart for discipleship and outreach.
• Strong communication, relational, and organizational skills.
• Ability to recruit, train, and encourage volunteers.
• A bachelor’s degree with a clear understanding of one’s calling to vocational ministry.
• Previous work experience in student or family ministry is preferred.
