Financial Administrative AssistantFull-Time

FBC Columbia

To provide administrative ministry support, maintain all finances plus the coordination thereof, and perform general office tasks.
Relationships: Reports to the Senior Pastor, interfaces with other staff members, engages with all FBC ministry team leaders & church members.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain predetermined office hours
• Maintain accurate and organized business records (invoices, contracts, etc.)
• Payment of all accounts payable
• Keep Treasurer & Finance Committee informed of church financial status
• Prepare reports for Treasurer, Finance Committee, & Business meetings
• Maintain confidential contribution records for members
• Prepare and file all required federal and state tax docs
• Assist other staff and ministers in office as needed
• Assist in providing financial information for church publications as needed
• Assure prompt deposit of all funds received in the office, including Sunday offerings
• Preparation of payroll (checks and direct deposit) for staff and maintain payroll records
Skill Sets and Requirements:
• Detail oriented
• Proficient in ACS QuickBooks financial software, or equivalent. Church database experience preferred
• Strong communication skills with an ability to adapt to an array of personality types and spiritual depths
• Finance experience and ministry admin support experience preferred
• Personal integrity and confidentiality
• A deep personal walk with the Lord
