Interim Music Minister/Worship leaderBivocational/Part-Time

We are a small church in South Jackson looking for an interim Music Minister/Worship Leader.
The position entails the following responsibilities:
• Planning and coordinating music for Sunday morning worship services
• Directing the church choir, including conducting Sunday rehearsals
• Selecting appropriate hymns and songs for each service, in consultation with the pastor or other church leaders
• Performing or overseeing performances of music during Sunday worship services
• Planning special music for Sunday morning service
We have about 125 in worship attendance. We celebrated our 65th anniversary last year. We are at the intersection of old Siwell Road and Raymond Road on the outskirts of Jackson. Our membership is mostly made up of residents in Southwest Hinds County. We have a choir of 20. We are about 65% adults 50+. We are looking for someone that can lead a blended service of traditional and contemporary songs. We are a church with a sweet spirit!
