First Baptist Church of Batesville, Mississippi is accepting resumes for the position of Interim Youth Director. This position includes leading and participating in youth activities on Sundays, Wednesday evenings, youth events, camps, and special activities throughout the year.
We are seeking someone with a heart for students, a passion for discipleship, and the ability to work well with students, parents, volunteers, and church leadership. Applicants should be active members of a Southern Baptist church, demonstrate spiritual maturity and a Christ-centered lifestyle, and have a genuine desire to invest in students and families. Previous experience in youth ministry as a youth pastor, youth intern, ministry student, or similar role is preferred.
Candidates should submit a current resume and three references, including:
• A reference from their current home church pastor
• A reference from a previous senior pastor or youth pastor they have served under (when applicable)
• A reference from a BSU Director, seminary professor, or ministry mentor who can speak to the applicant’s character and ministry potential.
This position may be especially well suited for seminary students, ministry students, or individuals seeking ministry experience while serving in a healthy and supportive church environment.
