Minister of MusicBivocational/Part-Time

North Columbia Baptist Church

The Part-Time Minister of Music will be responsible for planning and leading music for Sunday morning and evening worship services, as well as directing an adult choir. This individual will work closely with the pastor and worship team to create meaningful worship experiences that engage the congregation and glorify God. This job is approximately 10-15 hours per week (flexible based on church needs.)

Key Responsibilities:

·      Lead music in both Sunday morning and evening worship services.

·      Direct the adult choir, including weekly rehearsals and special music preparations.

·      Select music that supports the sermon theme and fits the church’s blended worship style.

·      Collaborate with the pastor and church leadership to plan worship services.

·      Encourage and equip volunteer musicians and vocalists.

·      Prepare music for special services such as Easter, Christmas, and other church events.

 

Qualifications:

A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a knowledge of Biblical Baptist beliefs.

A heart for worship and a passion for leading others in praise.

Experience leading congregational music and directing a choir.

Familiarity with both traditional hymns and contemporary worship music.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work with a team and foster unity in worship ministry.
