Minister of MusicFull-Time

First Baptist Church of Gautier, MS, is seeking a full-time Minister of Music to lead a Christ-centered, multi-generational worship ministry with a strong choral foundation. This individual will work with the Senior Pastor to plan and lead biblically faithful, congregationally engaging, blended worship services. Responsibilities include directing the choir, leading hymns and modern praise, overseeing all music ministries (preschool–adult), and equipping volunteers, including instrumentalists and media/sound teams. The Minister of Music will also assist with weddings, funerals, and special services.

This is a dual-responsibility position, with a secondary ministry role aligned with the candidate’s calling, gifting, and experience (e.g., senior adults, missions, discipleship, or students).

Candidates must demonstrate a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ, affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, and possess strong leadership, musical, and organizational skills. A degree in music or ministry and experience in choir-based, multi-generational worship are preferred.
