Maranatha Baptist Church (located on Hwy 35 between Mize/Mt. Olive, MS) is prayerfully seeking a Minister of Music.
The Minister of Music serves as a spiritual leader who works alongside the Senior Pastor to cultivate a Christ-centered worship ministry that supports the mission of Maranatha Baptist Church, which is to: “Share the good news of the gospel of Jesus, with love and compassion for everyone, know that we are all sinners in need of a savior, and that salvation is received only through faith in Christ Jesus”.
The Minister of Music will collaborate with the church pianist, choir, and other musicians to plan and lead worship that is biblically faithful, Christ-centered, and focused on glorifying God rather than performance.
Responsibilities include: planning worship services, directing the choir, encouraging volunteers, coordinating rehearsals and special music, and ensuring that worship supports the preaching of God’s word while encouraging wholehearted congregational participation.
The Minister of Music should model Christian character, promote unity, and cultivate a worship ministry that leads people to respond to God with reverence, authenticity, and joy.
