First Baptist Church of Wiggins, a multi-generational congregation located within the City of Wiggins, the county seat of Stone County, has been a central point of gospel ministry in the area for over 126 years. We are currently prayerfully seeking a Minister of Music whose primary function would be to model, serve, and lead the body of Christ in worship, discipleship and outreach through the music ministries of the church under the Pastor’s leadership. Our music ministry consists of a comprehensive music program that includes adult, youth (desire to reestablish), and children’s choirs, praise teams and praise band, handbells, vocal and instrumental ensembles, and soloists. This is a full-time position, and the Minister of Music would be responsible for the administration of the entire music program, including anticipating the financial needs of the ministry annually, submitting a budget, and administering said budget. He would plan the music for all worship services in coordination with the pastor and would serve as the worship leader for all worship services. In addition, he would provide pastoral care to the congregation, especially those within the music ministry.
