Bay Springs Baptist Church is seeking an Associate Pastor of Students/Next Generation to lead and oversee a comprehensive ministry to children and youth. Serving under the direction of the Senior Pastor, this position works closely with church staff, leadership, and the children and youth committees to develop, implement, and evaluate effective student education ministries.
The Associate Pastor of Student Education is responsible for planning and coordinating curriculum, programs, volunteers, and activities that foster spiritual growth, biblical understanding, and discipleship among students. This role includes consulting with other ministry leaders when students are involved in church-wide activities and ensuring unity across church programs.
As a member of the pastoral staff, the Associate Pastor serves as a full partner in the church’s outreach and pastoral care ministries. Responsibilities include enlisting and training workers, advising on the use of ministry resources and facilities, and assisting with special projects such as camps, retreats, and Vacation Bible School.
The position places a strong emphasis on student outreach, leading efforts to visit, contact, and minister to prospects and absentees. The Associate Pastor also develops a clear vision for the student ministry, proposes and administers an approved budget, serves on the church’s Leadership Team, maintains clear communication with the Senior Pastor, and performs other duties as assigned.
