The Pre-School/Children’s Ministry Director is responsible for FBCS’s ministry to all children, birth through 6th grade. He/She would be under the supervision of the Senior Pastor and assist volunteer leaders in all facets of FBCS’s Pre-School and Children’s Ministry. The purpose of this position is to provide a ministerial presence and leadership for the Pre-School, Children, and their parents including but not limited to Sunday School, Wednesday night activities, Vacation Bible School, Bible Drill, summer activities, nursery, and all other facets of children’s ministry. He/She must work with the Stewardship Committee to prepare, administer, and monitor an annual budget for the Children’s Ministry. The Children’s Minister will enlist, train, motivate, supervise and evaluate children’s ministry leaders and workers to ensure an effective and safe ministry to children. Ensure that all children’s ministry workers/volunteers have complied with the church policy concerning background checks. He/She should work cooperatively with other Ministerial Staff members, workers, and church leaders in order to reach the community for Christ and minister to those in need. Also, perform other duties as necessary in the church setting.
