Grace Baptist Church is seeking a dependable and organized Administrative Assistant to support the pastor, staff, and congregation in the daily operations of the church office. This part-time position (24–32 hours per week) helps ensure the office runs smoothly through administrative support, communication, record keeping, and financial management. Pay is $18.00 per hour.
Responsibilities include maintaining an efficient office environment by managing office equipment, ordering supplies, and handling incoming and outgoing mail. The Administrative Assistant will also prepare and distribute church communications, including emails, the weekly newsletter, Sunday bulletins, and other printed materials.
This role also serves as the primary point of contact for the church office, assisting members, guests, and community members in person, by phone, and by email. Additional duties include supporting the pastor and staff with correspondence, maintaining the church calendar and records (such as baptisms, marriages, and membership), and keeping the church database up to date.
Financial responsibilities include recording contributions, preparing bank deposits, paying invoices, assisting with monthly reports and reconciliations, and processing payroll with confidentiality.
Qualified candidates should be technologically proficient and have strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
