Bigbee BC is searching for our next music minister. Bigbee is a growing church located just outside of Amory in the Bigbee community. Bigbee is very blessed with many musicians and singers. We are looking for someone to lead in all areas of music ministry in our church.
Purpose
The Music Minister is responsible for providing spiritual, musical, and administrative leadership for the worship ministry of the church. This individual will work closely with the pastor and church leadership to plan and lead Christ-centered worship services that are biblically sound, spiritually engaging, and musically excellent. The Music Minister will cultivate a worship ministry that blends traditional hymns with contemporary worship songs while encouraging congregational participation and developing volunteer musicians.
Qualifications
* A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that reflects biblical character.
* Agreement with the church’s statement of faith and support of Southern Baptist doctrine and practice.
* Ability to lead worship
* Strong organizational and leadership skills.
* Ability to recruit, equip, and encourage volunteers.
* Team-oriented spirit with a servant’s heart.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Primary Responsibilities
* Worship Leadership and service planning
* Choir/ Praise Team Leadership
* Musician/ Vocalist Oversight
* Practice Scheduling
* Oversee music ministry resources, equipment, etc.
