Bay Springs Baptist Church in Bay Springs, Mississippi, is seeking a Music Minister to lead and oversee the planning, organization, and execution of meaningful, Christ-centered worship services. Serving under the direction of the pastor, the Music Minister is responsible for preparing orders of service and planning music for all regular, seasonal, and special worship events in cooperation with the pastoral staff.
The Music Minister works closely with the Media Team to coordinate all audio and visual needs and oversees the purchasing, maintenance, and replacement of music-related equipment, supplies, and instruments. This role includes preparing and administering an annual music budget and seeking to expand worship and music opportunities for the congregation. Music selection should reflect a variety of genres and generations, with an emphasis on providing a blended worship service.
Responsibilities also include directing children’s and youth choirs as needed, ensuring their participation in worship services, and overseeing all other aspects of the church’s music program. Qualified candidates must demonstrate a firm commitment to Jesus Christ, view music as a ministry of spiritual growth, and possess appropriate musical education, training, or experience. Strong skills in choir training, piano accompaniment, worship leadership, administration, and communication are essential.
