Midway Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a qualified individual to serve as Minister of Music in a part-time capacity. We are a Southern Baptist Church committed to honoring Christ through sound doctrine and Christ-centered worship.
Responsibilities:
• Lead congregational singing during Sunday morning and Sunday evening services
• Coordinate and select biblically sound, Christ-honoring music consistent with church convictions
• Work with the pastor in planning music that supports the preaching ministry
• Build a coir, should the Lord lead.
• Encourage participation and growth in the music ministry
Qualifications:
• Born-again believer with a clear testimony of salvation and a faithful Christian walk
• Spiritual maturity and godly character
• Agreement with the doctrines and convictions of Midway Baptist Church
• Willingness to serve under pastoral leadership in a spirit of unity
• Musical ability sufficient to effectively lead worship
• Ministry experience preferred but not required
Schedule:
Part-time position serving during:
• Sunday Morning Worship
• Sunday Evening Worship
No Wednesday evening service responsibilities.
