The Pastor will provide spiritual leadership to the congregation through biblically sound preaching, teaching, discipleship, and exemplifying godly character. He will demonstrate a high level of competency and excellence in the study of the scriptures, church leadership and organization, and equipping the church to be disciples. He will be a man who is called, ordained and set apart by God to the gospel ministry, evangelical in theology and is committed to living and serving in a manner consistent with the standards set forth in Scripture for Pastors.
REQUIREMENTS: (Education and Experience) Bachelor’s Degree of Divinity or Ministry with a minimum of 5 years of pastoral ministry experience as lead pastor from Southern Baptist Association churches or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master of Divinity preferred. Licensed and ordained to serve in Southern Baptist churches. A lifestyle congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders. A calling to pastoral ministry.
OTHER: Open to bi-vocational pastor.
