Harmontown Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist church located in the community of Harmontown in the northwest corner of Lafayette County. A church was established at this location in October 1868 as a union church. Even though it has been destroyed by a tornado twice, it rebuilt and stands strong today. We have no requirements/restrictions on the man we are seeking for the pastor of our church. We are prayerfully relying on God to lead the correct person to us. We would like someone who is comfortable in a rural environment. Someone who shows God’s love to all and who preaches God’s word. We do have a church parsonage.
