Good Hope Baptist Church, a rural church located at 12031 Highway 485 just outside of Philadelphia in Neshoba County, organized in 1866 with 271 members.
We have services 3 times a week and average 50 in worship attendance. Our congregation is multi-generational with ministries and activities directed to reach all ages for Christ and lead them to grow as disciples of Christ.
A church parsonage is available and located next door to the church.
We are looking for the Bi-Vocational Pastor for our Church that God has chosen. We have been praying and looking to Him to answer our prayers with that man. He will be a man who is called, ordained, and set apart by God to the gospel ministry, evangelical in theology and is committed to living and serving in a manner consistent with the standards set forth in Scripture for Pastors.
He should have a heart for community outreach, missions, love people, and have a passion for the ministry.
Pastoral Responsibilities are to:
• Act as the Spiritual leader of the church.
• Organize and direct worship services (Sunday AM/PM & Wednesday PM) lead in acknowledgement of church ordinances.
• Work with church officers, deacons, and committees in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.
• Serve as mediator at church business meetings.
• Direct the church in planning, coordinating, and evaluating the overall program of the church.
• Visit church members and potential members.
• Lead the church in an effectual evangelism program.
