Founded in 1836, Antioch Baptist Church exists for one purpose: to do the will and work of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are a church where people can experience abundant life through Him, where individuals and families are strengthened, and where personal gifts and talents are developed and used for the glory of God. With a total membership of 225 and an average weekly attendance of 130, we are committed to sharing the Gospel, being good stewards of the blessings God has given us, and providing opportunities for Christian growth and witness for all ages.
The Pastor will serve as the spiritual leader and chief administrator of the church, responsible for preaching and teaching the whole counsel of God, shepherding the congregation, and leading the ministries of Antioch Baptist Church in alignment with its mission and vision. This role requires strong leadership, a servant’s heart, and a commitment to Biblical truth as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
Key Responsibilities
Preach and teach the Word of God in all worship services
Provide administrative leadership for the total church program
Lead and coordinate with deacons, officers, committees, and church staff to fulfill the mission of the church
Provide pastoral care through visitation
Recommend, advise, and supervise church staff members.
Secure guest speakers as needed
Serve as moderator of business conferences and chairman of the Church Council.
