Bethel Baptist Church has been serving the Lord as a congregation since 1952 in the city of Columbus, Mississippi. Bethel is approximately half-way between The University of Alabama and Mississippi State University. The location is beneficial for growth as we are situated on a well-traveled highway leading to the highest-growth portion of the county. We are also located in a city neighborhood with an abundance of potential congregants. Our average attendance in our Sunday morning worship service is approximately thirty-five. Our style of worship is mostly traditional with some contemporary components. Our congregation is a loving body of believers who support each other in fellowship and embrace the purpose of The Great Commission. Our church employs a staff of four. Our last pastor stayed with us twenty-six years. We are flexible in regards to age, educational background, and experience. We seek a pastor who loves the Lord and loves studying the scripture and is gifted in teaching his congregation. We also appreciate someone who values visitation of the sick and homebound. We seek a pastor who has a heart for younger congregants and their families and a passion and mission for bringing them into the church to be ministered to. We are excited to see what God will do in our church with a new pastor.
