Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! On behalf of the congregation of Sapa Baptist Church, we are excited to announce that we are prayerfully seeking a new bi-vocational pastor who is passionate about the gospel, committed to growing the body of Christ, and eager to serve in our community.
Sapa Baptist Church is a close-knit congregation that values strong biblical teaching, missions, and community outreach. As we seek the man God has prepared to lead us into the next season of ministry, we are looking for a pastor who demonstrates the following qualifications and characteristics.
Qualifications and Characteristics:
• Education: A high school diploma is required with some seminary or preaching experience preferred.
• Leadership Skills: The ability to guide and inspire our congregation, staff, and ministries. A servant leader who is willing to invest in the lives of others.
• Mission-Minded: A pastor who is committed to spreading the gospel locally and globally. A passion for missions and outreach, as well as a strategic vision for church growth and evangelism.
• Administrative Abilities: Strong organizational and administrative skills. Able to handle church budgets, manage church staff, and oversee various ministry programs.
• Bible Teaching & Knowledge: A deep love for God’s Word and a strong understanding of scripture. Able to teach the Holy Bible faithfully and lead our congregation in the application of God’s Word.
• Outreach Ideas: Creative and impactful outreach efforts to serve our local community, and fresh ideas for evangelism, discipleship, and community involvement, as well as the ability to inspire and equip others for ministry.
• Southern Baptist Denomination Knowledge: A familiarity with Southern Baptist Tradition, including Baptist Faith and Message and the Cooperative Program,
Expectations:
The pastor will be responsible for leading worship services, preaching weekly sermons, pastoral care, and offering spiritual guidance to the congregation. In addition, the pastor will work closely with the deacons and leadership team to guide the church in fulfilling its mission and vision.
