Pittsboro First Baptist Church of Pittsboro, MS is prayerfully seeking a full time pastor. We are believing God for a man who will guide the family of PFBC with biblically sound preaching and teaching to facilitate spiritual growth and leadership within both the church and community. He adequately handles the Word of Truth relying on the Holy Spirit to change lives and influence the kingdom of God. He exemplifies Godly character and will provide pastoral care through prayer, visitation to sick and shut-ins, and counseling through biblical principles. Some Biblical formal training is preferred but not absolute. Past ministry experience is also preferred but again not absolutely necessary. The applicant should be of the Southern Baptist tradition. He should also feel called to a smaller rural church with all of its blessings and challenges.
Pittsboro First Baptist Church is a 175 year old church in the heart of Pittsboro, Mississippi. Pittsboro is the county seat of Calhoun County and home of the Cross of Calhoun County. The cross was established in faith to be a witness to the community as a reminder of God’s love for mankind and the love Christ demonstrated by way of the cross. We are an aging congregation with hopes of growing numerically and diversifying in age.
