Mathiston First Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Pastor of Students & Children to lead, disciple, and invest in the next generation from preschool through college.
Key Responsibilities:
• Student Ministry: Provide sound biblical teaching, build a gospel-centered discipleship pathway, and plan camps, retreats, and mission trips. Cultivate relationships with students and families through outreach and presence at local school and community events.
• Children’s Ministry: Provide leadership and oversight alongside the Children’s Ministry Assistant and volunteers for Wednesday/Sunday programs, VBS, camps, and seasonal outreach events.
• Pastoral & Leadership: Equip lay leaders, oversee ministry budgets, and assist or preach in corporate worship as needed.
Qualifications:
• Clear personal faith in Jesus Christ and a calling to student/children’s ministry.
• Affirmation of Southern Baptist doctrines and teachings.
• Strong relational, organizational, and communication skills.
