Cross Roads Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS, is prayerfully seeking a full-time senior pastor. Our church is over 100 years old, and our mission is to know Jesus and to make Him known; to follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit; and to take God’s Word to God’s World. We support the SBC, MS Baptist Convention, and Rankin Association; affirm the Baptist Faith & Message(2000); and support giving to the Cooperative Program.
As a committee, we are seeking God’s will and God’s direction in finding the man He has already chosen to shepherd us. Seminary education is preferred along with leadership skills. We currently have two full-time staff, three part-time staff, and nine deacons.
Our members come from not only our community but several surrounding communities providing us with a variety of opportunities to reach the lost and unchurched. We have a very active children’s ministry as well as a youth ministry.
Outreach includes prison ministry, support of local food/clothing pantry, encouragement bags for cancer patients, “Sende de Vido” Mexico missions, Operation Christmas Child, and various other ministries. We find joy being together in worship and in fellowship.
