Hebron Baptist Church is seeking a biblically qualified Pastor to serve as the spiritual leader and shepherd of our congregation. The Pastor will faithfully preach and teach God’s Word, provide pastoral care, and lead the church in fulfilling the Great Commission.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and preach biblically sound sermons.
• Provide spiritual leadership and direction for the church.
• Minister through visitation, prayer, counseling, and care during sickness, grief, and times of need.
• Conduct baptisms, the Lord’s Supper, weddings, funerals, and other church services.
• Work cooperatively with deacons, committees, ministry leaders, and church staff.
• Encourage evangelism, discipleship, missions, and community outreach.
• Promote unity and spiritual growth within the congregation.
Qualifications:
• Clear testimony of salvation and a calling to pastoral ministry.
• Meet the biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership found in 1 Timothy 3:1–7, Titus 1:5–9, and 1 Peter 5:1–4.
• Demonstrate godly character, integrity, spiritual maturity, and a strong prayer life.
• Be committed to the authority, truth, and sufficiency of Scripture.
• Be able to effectively preach and teach God’s Word.
• Support the beliefs, constitution, and bylaws of Hebron Baptist Church.
The Pastor will serve under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
