Qualifications
The Student Pastor must be a born-again, baptized believer who senses a call to pastoral ministry and meets the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9. He must affirm the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 and the FBC Belmont Church Covenant, pursue spiritual growth, disciple believers, and engage in evangelism.
Position Overview
The Student Pastor will lead a student ministry shaped by FBC Belmont’s core values: Truth, Together, and Transformation. He will shepherd families with students, partner with parents in discipleship, and oversee student teaching ministries alongside the Senior Pastor. While focused on students, this role includes care and connection with the broader church body. This position averages 15–18 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Preach or schedule preaching for midweek student services
Plan and lead midweek services and student Sunday School
Disciple students and equip student leaders
Recruit and invest in student volunteers
Manage the student ministry budget
Plan camps, outreach, and community events
Vision
The Student Pastor will help develop strategic engagement with the Belmont School System, located approximately ½ mile from the church.
