FBC Houston, MS is a multigenerational church in Chickasaw County located within a 45-minute drive of Tupelo, Oxford, and Starkville. We have ministries ranging from children, students, families, and senior adults. We also have a Kindergarten Ministry 5 days a week for families in the community. At FBC, our mission is to Make Disciples and Teach Disciples, and our vision consists of 3 things: Connecting, Growing, and Living. We desire to connect with each other as we are connected to Christ. We desire to grow in our faith and knowledge of God. We desire to live out our faith through service locally and mission globally. We are prayerfully seeking God’s will for the next Student Pastor at FBC Houston to partner and lead out in this mission and vision. Below is a short paragraph on the Student Pastor position.
The Student Pastor (7th-12th Grades & College Ministry) will lead and coordinate all FBC student gatherings and ministries in accordance with the Scriptures and the mission/vision of FBC Houston. The Student Pastor will be purpose-driven and lead with quality effectiveness and above reproach character. The Student Pastor will also share responsibility for the children’s ministry alongside the Senior Pastor and Worship Pastor. The Student Pastor will conduct administrative duties that present themselves (calendar planning, coordination, budget balancing, etc…). All this is done in service to FBC Houston, which is pastor-led, deacon-served, and congregationally approved.
