Heartland Church is a 19-year-old church located in the Heart of Desoto County, MS. We exist to glorify God by following Jesus, proclaiming His name, and living in His grace. In carrying out His ministry, we desire to fulfill the Great Commission in Desoto County and beyond. Our convictions, according to what we see in scripture, are that the worship ministry is very much a ministry of the word. Thus, we are looking for someone who has already been ordained as a pastor/elder or who is both willing and qualified to work toward eldership. The role, when done by an individual, is a full-time role. Specifically with the shepherding responsibilities. This individual will have similar pastoral care duties as the other pastors/elders. The responsibilities include far more than simply the music ministry of the church. However, we recognize that many individuals in the worship ministry sphere desire to conduct ministry through song both inside the church and outside the church. We are looking to hire either a full-time worship pastor or a part-time one. In the event we hire a part-time worship pastor we will also hire a worship apprentice(s).
