Escatawpa Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking the person God has in store to lead our church by investing in the worship ministry and the families involved in the worship ministry of the church.
Our Committee has been given the task to look for the “right person” as opposed to seeking strictly a Part-Time person or a Full-time person. If after prayerful consideration we agree, then that will direct the committee’s decision on whether that person will occupy a full or part time position. There is no age range for this person and the salary will be commensurate with their experience and education. Candidates will be provided a more thorough job description upon applying for the position.
Highlights of Leadership, Administration, & Responsibility:
- Personally engage in daily spiritual disciplines to seek, lead, and coordinate the church’s worship ministry to praise the Triune God and to disciple people to build their relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Coordinate, equip, and prepare musicians and tech team for rehearsals and services.
- Organize and maintain the music library.
- Propose and administrate a comprehensive Worship Ministry budget.
- Prepare graphics for ProPresenter each week.
- Oversee the maintenance of musical instruments and media equipment. This will require a facility with ProPresenter and
- AV/L technology (including soundboard, audio system, streaming technology, and running multitrack program)
- Maintain consistent choir practices with all ages as well as handbells (seasonal) and instrumentalists.
- Lead the congregation in worship.
- Design quality worship experiences utilizing quality songs, both old and new.
- Assist and support members working with children and youth musical groups.
- Encourage those not currently involved in Worship ministry to use voice, instrument, and creative arts in worship.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
