Immanuel Baptist Church, a 55 year old multi-generational church in Greenwood, MS is prayerfully seeking God’s will to be fulfilled in seeking a Youth/Family Life Minister. Greenwood, MS is located in culturally diverse Leflore County on the eastern edge of the Mississippi delta approximately 2 hours from both Memphis and Jackson. Immanuel is known for its sweet spirit of fellowship among members and for its willingness to reach out to others in the name of Christ. The Youth/Family Life Minister will be responsible for leading Sunday school, Sunday night class, Wednesday night class for youth and working with the youth committee. A seminary degree is preferred but is not required. The church currently has services on Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday night. IBC typically has 55-60 in Sunday school and Wednesday night prayer services are well attended with children and youth programs taking place on Wednesday as well. The well-being and growth of the children and youth programs are a priority for the church. Candidates must also affirm and agree with the Baptist Faith and Message, June 2000.
