Christian-Related Vocation (CRV) Ministry

Christian-Related Vocation (CRV) students are servants who have surrendered to and are training for ministry in Mississippi and beyond. To connect with these students, the Pastor/Leadership Development Department hosts CRV banquets at Mississippi’s three Baptist colleges during the fall of each year. Our Executive Director, Dr. Shawn Parker, is the featured speaker for these banquets and provides a message that is both inspirational and challenging.

Student Day provides an opportunity for CRV students at our Baptist colleges to visit the MBCB Building in downtown Jackson. Not only do students experience first-hand the ministry resources available to them as a result of Cooperative Program giving, but they also have the opportunity to connect and network with denominational leaders in a personal way, building relationships that will aid their ministry into the future.

In addition to the annual events, our P/LD staff is available for individual vocational counseling, and to provide guidance and resources for students considering full-time and bivocational ministry. We can also assist with questions and needs concerning seminary and theological education.
