Letter from Vickie Stuart
Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
This year Mississippi Baptist Conference of the Deaf will be at Timber Creek Camp in Pulaski, Mississippi. I know this is breaking our yearly tradition of being in Clinton for many years. But due to a unforeseen conflict in dates we had to find a new location. Timber Creek is located on 300 acres of pristine forest in East Central Mississippi. It is truly a beautiful place. Also, they offer different recreational free fun things to do including, canoeing, hiking trails, Frisbee Golf (18 holes) if you do not have frisbee disc the camp can provide, 2 gaga ball arenas, swimming pool, 3 athletic fields human foosball arena, 9 square in the air. There is also a game room in the cafeteria that has many board games. Oh, and just to let you know, Timber Creek is known for having the Best Food anywhere! MBCD looks forward to serving you in October.
Enclosed is the registration form for the conference. I encourage you to send your complete payment if mailing your registration. However, we know that is not always possible to pay the total cost so you may pay part of your cost and pay the rest when you come to camp. Make checks payable to MS Baptist Conference of the Deaf. Please mail forms to Multicultural Ministries, Attn: Vickie Stuart, Deaf Consultant P.O. Box 530, Jackson, MS 39205.
To guarantee you have meals, we must get your reservation by October 9. We must order all the meals on that day. Please submit your registration form so it arrives by the deadline date (October 9). We can accept late registrations, but we cannot guarantee any meals on late registrations.
All campers are responsible for bringing their own linens and pillows for twin beds, toiletries, and towels. Men and women will be in separate buildings, up to 5 people in a room
Remember, Timber Creek Camp does not permit smoking anywhere on the campus so please do not smoke on the campus or in any of the facilities. Because this is an adult conference, MBCD will not have childcare available. Parents will be responsible for their children brought to camp.
In Christ,
Vickie Stuart
