Mississippi Baptist’s Bible Drill is designed to help children and students develop skills in the use of the Bible, increase their knowledge of God’s Word, help them learn the scriptures by heart, and apply the Bible to their lives.

Our annual Preaching Conference focuses on individual books of the Bible, with our speakers covering crucial topics related to background and setting, theological themes and issues, and sermonic approaches to preaching and teaching the book. The speakers at the event are leading scholars and professors from our three Mississippi Baptist Colleges – Blue Mountain Christian University, Mississippi College, and William Carey University.

Mississippi Baptist’s Bible Drill is designed to help children and students develop skills in the use of the Bible, increase their knowledge of God’s Word, help them learn the scriptures by heart, and apply the Bible to their lives.

Selection/Scholarship Tournaments consist of three separate tournaments.  One for Middle School (grades 6-9), one for High school (grades 10-12), and a nine-year drillers scholarship tournament.  The tournament is reserved for drillers who have participated in at least nine years of Bible Drill, represent a Cooperative Program supporting church, and declare an intention to attend one of the Baptist colleges in Mississippi.  A driller may only participate in this tournament once.

Student Speaker’s Tournament is designed to develop leadership in students by teaching them Christian doctrine, public speaking, poise, and confidence in leadership through verbal expressions of their faith.
